Fire safety work in Guyana, before the next notice

If you sell fire safety into offshore oil, the notices show the buyers asking: MODEC for fire fighting appliances and detection on its FPSOs, SBM for inspection and repair across four vessels, Stena for a year of safety equipment supply. Three of those four buyers will only deal with a firm holding a Guyanese local content certificate, or with a foreign firm that can show a real partnership. We check who holds the certificate, who does the work, and who only holds a name, then we introduce you to the ones that pass.

A firm that passes our checks is a real business with a current certificate, sounded out at the free check. An introduction means it has agreed to a first call, not to a partnership; we never say more than that.

Partners we can introduce, shown without their names

Real firms from the register, each checked five ways on 2 November 2026. The two that pass are the introductions; the rest are shown so you know what we set aside. You get the names with the introduction.

Why offshore fire safety?

Every FPSO and drillship carries fire systems that need inspection, recertification and spares on a fixed cycle, and Guyana now has four FPSOs on station with more coming. The notices repeat: MODEC alone asked three times in six months. The work needs certified kit and trained people, which is what a foreign firm brings, and a certificate, a warehouse and local paperwork, which is what the partner brings. The gap in the middle is the introduction.
